COMMUNITY
An underground maze
of roots weave
together like fingers,
while above slender limbs
that can barely move
grasp for space.
Together, we grow
toward heaven
season by season
from this natural church
that has little purpose
other than inspiration.
After each visit.
humans leave offerings,
a series of sweet hymns,
that stir our leaves
like a great swarm
of starved starlings.
