Weather or not
From the window I watch
my neighbour trying
to sweep leaves off the street
while the wind brings more
continuously –
a rare moment
of inner peace
(and of everyday poetics).
Cliché has it
at any time, German
streets must be clean
and orderly –
weather or not.
