Domestic Goddess Kalis
How many arms do women have?
Two, the standard number, you say.
Goddess Kalis[1], we wave
Our sprouting arms as they
Wield the
Spatula
Broom
Mop
Scrubber
Duster
Child
Iron
Make up brush
Steering wheel
Laptop
Get in each other’s way
Tire
A line from you sparks
Our word fire that
Scars all it touches
It’s still we who’ve got to
Pick up the pieces.
